Common thresher shark is the largest member of Alopiidae fammily, this species reach the incredible size of over 6 m, but a 50% of it corresponds to tail. Sharks in this fammily are open sea dwelers. Only A. oceanicus tends to present a more coastal behaviour (tihs is the species wich divers see more often). It feeds on small to medium size schooling fish whitch it first stomp with it's tail before feed easly on the injured prey.
